Different forms of decoctions are available in the market as concentrated bottled kashayam, decoction tab, or powdered form. Most of them have a period of 2 to 3 years as an expiry period. Real decoctions cannot be prepared by using chemicals as preservatives and additives, which considerably changes the pH of decoction into highly acidic.
